Numerical Modeling Course Sponsored By AICTE

  • AICTE launches Numerical Modelling Course.
  • The course with 38 students seeks to bridge the gap between physical models and experimental data.
  • This new course will provide insights into Computational Fluid Dynamics, an emerging area of numerical modeling.
  • The 6-day course was recently introduced in VSSUT, Burla.

AICTE has come up with a unique idea to empower young generations. Sponsored by Quality Improvement Programme (QIP) scheme of All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a short-term course on Numerical Modelling has made its way into the curriculum of engineering students. The six-day short-term course on ‘Numerical Modelling of Heat Transfer and Fluid Flow (NM HTF) using OpenFOAM’,  was inaugurated at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT), Burla recently.

The objective of the course, which has 38 participants, is to allow all the researchers to experiment with new physical models, validate them against experimental data and examine their performance on fundamental and real practical problems in the field of computational heat transfer and fluid flow. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is an emerging area of numerical modeling.

So, with this course, the AICTE is seeking to entrap the potentials of young minds and drive them towards modern technological developments
