Fifth Annual Conference of the Loyola Forum for Historical Research

July 21, 2016 - July 22, 2016

LFHR (Loyola Forum for Historical Research) has completed four years of academic commitment quite successfully.  The First Annual Congress was held on 5th and 6th March 2012, the Second from 28th February to 1st March 2013 and the Third on 13th and 14th February 2014 respectively.  The Fourth Annual Congress which was organized between 12th and 13th February 2015 had the focus on “Intellectual History.”  The Forum has been endeavoring to provide the necessary academic ambience for the professionals and researchers to share their perspectives.

LFHR 2016 is a two-day multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary national conference that aims to provide an opportunity to bring together professors, researchers and motivated students of different disciplines, discuss new issues, and discover the most recent researches on the various aspects of Urbanisation: (inviting papers on)

  • The planning of towns and cities
  • Growth and development of towns and cities
  • Urbanisation and water bodies
  • The impact of multiculturalism upon metropolises
  • Impact of urbanisation on environment
  • Urbanisation and disasters, etc

While a historical perspective for the theme of conference is wide-ranging in itself, an interdisciplinary approach to the theme would certainly widen the scope further and all the more inclusive.
