Two-Thirds of Defence Contracts in 2014-15 to Indians

India spent Rs 65,591 crore for defence contracts in 2014-15.

Over 61% per cent (Rs. 40,589.98 crore) went to Indian vendors. The rest (Rs 24,992.36 crore) was awarded to foreign players, the government said in Rajya Sabha today.

Rao Inderjit Singh, Minister of State for Defence, said in written response.
